Reads the payslips

Reads the client's employees and their recent payslips from SimplePay. Only finalised payslips are compared.

Compares each employee

Puts each employee's latest net pay next to their previous one and flags a change beyond your tolerance, a new employee with no earlier payslip, and anyone with no finalised payslip.

Asks for the sign-off

Sends the flagged employees to the person you name to sign the run off. When nothing is flagged, the run finishes without a task.

It does on its own

  • Reads this client's employees and their two most recent finalised payslips from SimplePay.
  • Compares each employee's net pay with the payslip before and flags a change larger than the tolerance you set, a new employee, and anyone with no current payslip.
  • Keeps salary figures out of its run logs.

Only when a named person signs off

  • Puts every flagged employee in front of the person you name to sign the run off before it is released in SimplePay.
  • The person who signs off can never be the person who started the run.

It never

  • Finalises, releases or changes a pay run, a payslip or an employee in SimplePay.
  • Pays anyone or loads a payment file to the bank.
  • Files anything with SARS.

Systems with no API — desktop Pastel, SYSPRO, a bank or portal you can only reach by signing in — are driven through their own screens by the Automize bot on your machine. That is the on-premise variant of this role and is set up with you separately; hiring installs the cloud worker described here.

This is the part a cloud-only tool cannot do. The Automize bot runs on your own machine, so anything a person can open, it can work in – the desktop accounting package, the bank portal, the supplier site with no integration.
