Type text into a UI control (by selector) or the focused field.
Add it to a process
In the process designer, open the Add step tab. Find Type in app under Desktop App, or type its name in the search box, and drag it onto the canvas.
Fields
| Field | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Control | No | The UI control to target - resolved by its learned name (App Model, self-healing) or its recorded selector. Shows the ranked selector candidates and the model name/screen. |
| Write | No | The text to type into the control. |
| Visual | No | Describe the field by what can be SEEN, for an application with no accessibility tree (Citrix, VDI, canvas). Same shape as on Click. Used when the selector fails or when the step has none; the field is clicked to focus it, then the text is typed. |
| Fall back to keyboard | No | When the control can't be found, type into the focused field with the keyboard. |
