Draw a random sample of rows to test; the same seed always draws the same rows.
Add it to a process
In the process designer, open the Add step tab. Find Draw a random sample under Process, or type its name in the search box, and drag it onto the canvas.
Fields
| Field | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Rows | No | Variable holding the rows to sample from |
| Size | No | How many rows to draw (see the SAMPLESIZE calc function) |
| Seed | No | Seed for the draw; empty picks one and records it |
| Variable | No | Variable to store the result in (default: sample) |
What it gives back
{sample}– rows (each with its position) and summary (population, size, picked, seed)
