This article describes the RPA Document functionality to split documents contained in a file.

Description
The DOCUMENT Split documents contained in a file function allows you to split documents contained in a file.
Setting it up
To use the DOCUMENT Split documents contained in a file function, follow these instructions:

Once on a process map:
- Navigate to the process where you would like to add the DOCUMENT Split documents contained in a file function
- Click on the green button’s drop-down (right side of the green button labelled “Process”)
- On the menu that appears, click on the “+ Activity” item
- From here you can select the DOCUMENT Split documents contained in a file option
- Click "Add" once you are done

Output variables
This action does not produce output variables.
Errors

Tips
- Splits a multi-document file into separate files
- Each document is saved as a separate file in the destination
