Getting help

Search the help, ask a question, report a bug from any page, raise a support ticket about a run or a bot, and book a meeting with the Automize team.

Help Centre › Troubleshooting & FAQ

Stuck? Start with the help articles. If they do not answer it, report the problem or raise a support ticket, and the Automize team will reply. You can also book a call.

1. Search the help

Open Help from the menu or from your profile menu at the top right. Type in Search all help articles…, or browse All articles. Every action a process can use has its own article.

At the end of each article, Was this helpful? tells us which articles need work.

Ask a question

On plans that include AI actions, the Help page also has a box to Ask a question, such as: how do I connect the bot?. The answer is written from the help articles and shown under the box. Check it against the articles it points to before you rely on it.

2. Report a bug from any page

Something looks broken? Click the bug icon at the top of the page (Report a Bug).

  1. A picture of the page is taken for you and shown under Screenshot. If it cannot take one, click Share my screen instead.
  2. Under Description, say what you did, what happened, and what you expected.
  3. Click Send.

Your report becomes a support ticket in your workspace, with the screenshot and a short technical trail of the page attached, and linked to the process or bot you were looking at. Check the screenshot before you send it: do not include passwords or customer details.

3. Support tickets

Go to Settings › Support tickets to see every ticket raised in your workspace. Everyone in your company, and your partner if you have one, can see them.

Raise a ticket

  • Click Raise a ticket in Settings › Support tickets.
  • On a failed run, use Ask Automize about this run. The team gets the run, its bot, its process and the step that failed, but not a copy of the run log.
  • On a bot's page, use Ask Automize for help. The team gets that bot.

Fill in What is it about? and What happened, and what did you expect?, add Screenshots or files (optional), and click Raise ticket. If the team already knows about the problem, the form says "We already know about this" and shows what is being done.

You can raise up to 10 tickets an hour.

Follow a ticket

  • A ticket shows as Waiting for Automize until the team replies, then Answered.
  • Reply on the ticket to add more. You can attach screenshots, logs and documents.
  • If your problem is a known one, the ticket says so and you are told when it is fixed.
  • When it is resolved, rate the answer so we know how we did.

4. Book a meeting

To talk to the Automize team, go to /book on the Automize website. Pick a person, or Anyone free for the first time anyone on the team can make, then pick a time. Every meeting is a Teams call; you get an Outlook invite with the link. If online booking is closed, the page offers Contact us instead.

5. Other ways to reach us

  • Your company may have set its own Support contact. If so, it is in your profile menu at the top right. Ask them first.
  • For billing questions, email support@automize.co.za.
