This article describes the RPA Google Drive functionality to rename a file or folder.

Description
The Google Drive Rename function renames a file or folder in Google Drive.
Setting it up
To use the Google Drive Rename function, follow these instructions:

Once on a process map:
- Navigate to the process where you would like to add the Google Drive Rename function
- Click on the green button's drop-down (right side of the green button labelled "Process")
- On the menu that appears, click on the "+ Activity" item
- From here you can select the Google Drive Rename option
- Click "Add" once you are done

Output variables
This action does not produce output variables.
Errors
| Error | Description |
|---|---|
| File not found | The specified file ID does not exist |
| Permission denied | Insufficient permissions to rename the file |
Tips
- Renaming does not change the file ID
- Include the file extension in the new name for non-Workspace files
