Description

The Google Drive Rename function renames a file or folder in Google Drive.


Setting it up

To use the Google Drive Rename function, follow these instructions:

Once on a process map:

  1. Navigate to the process where you would like to add the Google Drive Rename function
  2. Click on the green button's drop-down (right side of the green button labelled "Process")
  3. On the menu that appears, click on the "+ Activity" item
  4. From here you can select the Google Drive Rename option
  5. Click "Add" once you are done

This action does not produce output variables.


Errors

File not foundThe specified file ID does not exist
Permission deniedInsufficient permissions to rename the file

Tips

  • Renaming does not change the file ID
  • Include the file extension in the new name for non-Workspace files
