Connect to a message broker (RabbitMQ, Redis, or MQTT).
Add it to a process
In the process designer, open the Add step tab. Find Connect to broker under Messaging › RabbitMQ, or type its name in the search box, and drag it onto the canvas.
Fields
| Field | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Connection name | Yes | Connection name |
| Broker | Yes | Which kind of message broker you are connecting to: RabbitMQ or Redis. Choices: RabbitMQ, Redis. |
| Host | No | The server name or IP address of the message broker, e.g. mq.example.com. |
| Port | No | The broker's port number. Leave blank for the usual one: 5672 for RabbitMQ, 6379 for Redis. Default: 0. |
| Username | No | The login name for the broker. Leave blank if it needs none. The password is asked for on the bot machine the first time and kept there. |
| Virtual host | No | RabbitMQ only: the virtual host to use. Leave as / unless your RabbitMQ admin gave you another. Default: /. |
| Redis DB | No | Redis only: the database number, 0 to 15. Leave at 0 unless told otherwise. Default: 0. |
| SSL | No | Turn on to encrypt the connection. The broker usually listens on a different port for this, e.g. 5671 for RabbitMQ, so set Port too. Default: off. |
