OUTLOOK Request e-mail receipt function

This article describes the RPA Outlook functionality to request e-mail receipts.

Description

The OUTLOOK Request e-mail receipt function requests read and/or delivery receipts on the currently selected e-mail. A read receipt notifies you when the recipient opens the e-mail, while a delivery receipt confirms the e-mail reached the recipient's mail server.

Setting it up

To use the OUTLOOK Request e-mail receipt function, follow these instructions:

Once on a process map:

1. Navigate to the process where you would like to add the OUTLOOK Request e-mail receipt function
2. Click on the green button's drop-down (right side of the green button labelled "Process")
3. On the menu that appears, click on the "+ Activity" item
4. From here you can select the OUTLOOK Request e-mail receipt option
5. Click "Add" once you are done

This action does not produce output variables.

Errors

Tips

• Recipients can decline to send a read receipt
• Delivery receipts are more reliable as they are server-side
• Use this before sending important e-mails that need tracking
