This article describes the RPA Outlook functionality to smart compose using AI.

Description
The OUTLOOK Smart compose function uses AI to compose a full e-mail from a brief natural language instruction. Simply describe what the e-mail should be about (e.g. "remind John about the Q3 report deadline") and the AI writes the complete e-mail.
Setting it up
To use the OUTLOOK Smart compose function, follow these instructions:

Once on a process map:
- Navigate to the process where you would like to add the OUTLOOK Smart compose function
- Click on the green button's drop-down (right side of the green button labelled "Process")
- On the menu that appears, click on the "+ Activity" item
- From here you can select the OUTLOOK Smart compose option
- Click "Add" once you are done

Output variables
This action does not produce output variables.
Errors
| Error | Description |
|---|---|
| Outlook not open | Outlook is not running |
| Invalid address | One or more e-mail addresses are invalid |
| AI processing error | The AI could not compose the e-mail |
Tips
- Be specific about the purpose and key points in your instruction
- Use draft mode to review the composed e-mail before sending
- Include recipient context in instructions for more personalised e-mails
