Extract AcroForm field values from the PDF as {question: answer}.
Add it to a process
In the process designer, open the Add step tab. Find Extract form fields under PDF › Extract, or type its name in the search box, and drag it onto the canvas.
Fields
| Field | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| File path | Yes | Enter the file path, or use a variable such as {folder::desktop::path}\file.txt. |
| Variable | No | Name of the variable where the result will be stored Default: form. |
| Include text | No | When true, also add the form's static (non-field) text under the reserved keys title (the topmost heading) and text (the full page text), so a single step can IDENTIFY the form (for example, branch on {form[title]} == "Motor Prime Insurance Quote Sheet") and then use its fields. A real field genuinely named title / text keeps its value and the reserved key is skipped (logged), exactly like the Q/A alias collision rule. Default: off. |
What it gives back
{form}– Field answers keyed by the question text, plus short positional aliases - {form[Q1]}/{form[A1]}, {form[Q2]}/{form[A2]} … where Qn is the nth question's text and An is its answer. With include_text, also {form[title]} (the form's heading) and {form[text]} (its full non-field text).
